KNOXVILLE — Friday, Nov. 25: 'A Christmas Carol'
Charles Dickens' classic Christmas-time play "A Christmas Carol" will be presented through Dec. 18 at the Clarence Brown Theatre on the University of Tennessee campus.
Ebenezer Scrooge (David Kortmemeier) is visited by a series of ghosts who teach him lessons in living and giving.

Saturday, Nov. 26: Thanksgiving train rides
Southern Appalachia Railway Museum will offer its Thanksgiving Special train rides on the Secret City Excursion Train at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 25-26. The trip takes passengers through pastureland, rural neighborhoods and dense hardwood forests. The train boards at the Heritage Center of the East Tennessee Technology Park, on Highway 58, 10 miles west of downtown Oak Ridge. Cost is $15 for adults and $10 for ages 3-12. Sunday, Nov. 27: Joe Bonamassa

Monday, Nov. 28: McTell Brothers at the Blue Plate
The McTell Brothers are musical teenage twins Jeff and Brian Brown-Hill. The duo's band name is an homage to blues legend Blind Willie McTell.
The brothers will entertain with acoustic and electric blues, rock and folk rock noon-1 p.m. during the WDVX Blue Plate Special at the Knoxville Visitors Center, 301 S. Gay St.
