An All-Steinway concert kicks off Pellissippi State Community College's popular Music Concert Series this month.
This year's slate of 10 performances spans instrumental ensembles to choral performances to jazz and bluegrass jams.
The concerts are free, although donations are welcome at the door for the Pellissippi State Foundation on behalf of the Music Scholarship Fund.
All concerts will be held in the Clayton Performing Arts Center on the Pellissippi campus, 10915 Hardin Valley Road.
The 2011-12 concert series includes the following performances:
Sept. 13, 7 p.m. — All Steinway School Celebration Concert
Oct. 4, 7 p.m. — Faculty Recital Showcase honoring Mary Costa and Allen Edwards
Oct. 27, 7 p.m. — Fall Choral Concert
Nov. 15, 7 p.m. — Instrumental Ensemble Concert
Dec. 8, 6 and 8 p.m. — Holiday Spectacular
Feb. 21, 7 p.m. — Winter Choral Concert
March 1, 7 p.m. — Student Honors Recital
March 29, 7 p.m. — Jazz Band and Bluegrass Concert
April 12, 7 p.m. — Instrumental Ensemble Concert
April 26, 7 p.m. — Spring Choral Concert
