Jim Rutledge, master distiller of Four Roses Distillery, will present an in-store tasting of Four Roses Bourbon at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, at Farragut Wine & Spirits, 11238 Kingston Pike. The event will be followed by a bourbon dinner at 6:30 p.m. at Fleming's Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar, 11287 Parkside Drive.
The four-course meal includes baked Brie with spiced apple chutney and candied walnuts; barbecue shrimp with Cajun gravy and pork cracklins' in puff pastry; bourbon glazed pork chop with creamy polenta, chow chow and tobacco onions; and bourbon praline bread pudding with Benton's bacon ice cream.
