A member potluck lunch is scheduled 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19, at the home of Susan and Jeff Arbital, 10641 Rivermist Lane, hosted by Slow Food Knoxville.
Members should bring a dish prepared using a local ingredient, a place setting, a lawn chair and a beverage. Iced tea will be provided.
A root beer making class will be held 3-5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26 at the Oliver Hotel, 407 Union Ave. Cost is $20 for nonmembers and $15 for members.
