The Dirty Guv'nahs

Knoxville's rock 'n' roll heroes The Dirty Guv'nahs are rolling back into K-town for a special New Year's Eve show, and Knoxville.com is giving away free tickets to the show!

Enter our giveaway for a chance to win two tickets to the special concert performance, set for 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31 at the Tennessee Theatre, 604 S. Gay St.

Led by frontman James Trimble, the Guv'nahs are a six-man band that formed in Knoxville in 2006, and have steadily been building on a local and national fanbase.

The band's latest album, "Somewhere Between These Southern Skies," was released in August. Music writer Wayne Bledsoe calls the album "big, brash and emotional, augmented with some good horns, and confident. It's classic goodtime music — a tight rhythm section, tasteful keyboards that aren't overused."

No purchase is necessary to enter. Simply go to the Knoxville.com page on Facebook, "like" Knoxville.com and fill in the required information.

The contest is open only to legal residents of Tennessee in the following counties: Anderson, Blount, Campbell, Claiborne, Grainger, Hamblen, Hancock, Jefferson, Knox, Loudon, Monroe, Morgan, Roane, Sevier and Union, who are 18 years of age or older as of date of entry.

The sweepstakes is open until Sunday, Dec. 16.
