Health series to be held at libraries

The Knox County Health Department and the Knox County Library have partnered in offering a variety of health-oriented seminars.

"Lunch and Learn" is the name of the series which features a light lunch to be served while guests enjoy the following events. Attendees should call 865-215-5160 to reserve a lunch.

The Do’s and Don’t of Exercise: Guests will learn valuable fitness facts and how to make the most of your workout. (noon-1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, at Burlington Branch, 4614 Asheville Highway and noon-1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, at Howard Pinkston Branch, 7732 Martin Mill Pike).

Healthy Eating on a Budget: Guests will learn how to save money at the grocery store without sacrificing good health. (noon-1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, at Lawson McGhee Library, 500 W. Church Avenue).

Healthy Eating: Learn to improve your health by increasing fruits, vegetables. (12:30-1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 29, at Fountain City Branch, 5300 Stanton Road).
