Area restaurants serving up special Valentine's Day meals

Lots of Knoxville area restaurants are offering special menus for Valentine’s Day, some for the weekend ahead or for a few days after. These are some of the specials we found.

Baker Peters Fine Dining

Where: 9000 Kingston Pike

Cost: Starts at $110 / couple

Blackberry Farm

Where: 1471 West Millers Cove Road, Walland

Reservations: 865-984-8166. (Feb. 11 & Feb. 14)

Menu: Salad of smoked North Carolina trout, seared Nantucket Bay scallops with celery root and tennessee black truffles, roasted Moulard duck breasts with foie gras, chili rubbed beef with grit and black garlic custard, Brussels sprouts and onion marmalade. Chocolate crunch for dessert.

Cost: $125 per person for tasting menu. Wine pairing is additional $95.

Cru Bistro & Wine Bar

Menu: Spinach Salad with Goat Cheese, Shrimp & Brie with a Pomegranate Sauce, Filet Mignon & Lobster Medallion, Red Velvet Cheesecake

Chez Liberty

Menu: Salad of micro and mixed greens, oven roasted tomato, English cucumber and Parmesan cheese with Benton’s Bacon ranch or house made vinaigrette; rack of lamb and sea scallops; Tawny Port and Chocolate Espresso Semi-Fredo dessert. Wines include Sparkling, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Brunello di Montalcino.

Menu: Prawns with Boursin Cream or Port Wine Duck; mixed greens with gorgonzola glazed poached pear, candied pecans and sun-dried cranberries with orange raspberry vinaigrette; Folie a Deux Chicken with caper, lemon and sun-dried tomato basil butter sauce or Parmesan Encrusted Sea Bass or Tenderloin Ocsar; Callebaut Chocolate Bombe dessert.
