PASADENA, Calif. -- NBC will honor Betty White on Monday, Jan. 16, for her 90th birthday.
"Betty White's 90th Birthday: A Tribute to America's Golden Girl" will include salutes from celebrities such as Carl Reiner, Vicki Lawrence, Ellen DeGeneres, Tina Fey and Morgan Freeman.
The special also will be a reunion of sorts from her "Mary Tyler Moore Show" days. Mary Tyler Moore, Ed Asner, Gavin MacLeod, and Valerie Harper are scheduled for the special. Her current co-stars from TV Land's "Hot In Cleveland" -- Valerie Bertinelli, Wendie Malick, and Jane Leeves -- will be on hand, too.
White is the only surviving member from her NBC sitcom "The Golden Girls."
The 90-minute birthday special will be shot on Sunday.
Following the special, White's return to weekly prime-time will premiere. "Betty White's Off Their Rockers" can be previewed 9:30 p.m. The hidden camera series has senior citizens playing pranks on the younger generation.
White began her career in 1947 on radio and has work consistently in every decade since.
White turns 90 on Jan. 17.
