Survivalist and TV personality Mykel Hawke will appear at Smoky Mountain Knife Works, 2320 Winfield Dunn Parkway in Sevierville, on Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m.
TV and movie personalities and noted outdoorsmen are scheduled to appear at Smoky Mountain Knife Works, 2320 Winfield Dunn Parkway in Sevierville, over the coming months.
The series kicks off on Saturday with an appearance by Mykel Hawke, star of the Discovery Channel shows "Man, Woman, Wild" and "One Man Army." Ruth England Hawke, Hawke's wife and co-star in "Man, Woman, Wild," will also appear.
Hawke, a former U.S. Special Forces "Green Beret," is also the author of the survival manuals and co-author of the Jake Tyler thriller books, which is based on Hawke's own experiences. Hawke is also the author of SpecOps, which is described as a "media, training and adventures company."
Also appearing Saturday will be James Stanek, co-founder of Paws and Stripes, a nonprofit organization that helps provide service dogs for veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injuries.
Hawke will appear to promote his line of custom survival knives, gear and clothing and will be on hand from 1 to 4 p.m.

Bill Lowen: 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, July 28. Lowen is a champion bass fisherman who has earned $464,474 in championship winnings.
Les Stroud: 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25. Stroud is a wilderness guide, survivalist and star of the TV show "Survivorman." He has worked on shows that have appeared on the Outdoor Life Network, the Discovery Channel and the Science Channel.
R. Lee Ermy: 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20. Ermy may be best known as the ruthless drill sergeant in Stanley Kubrick's Vietnam War film "Full Metal Jacket." Ermy was a former staff sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, before being cast a helicopter pilot in the film "Apocalypse Now." Ermy has since appeared on screen and in 120 onscreen and voice roles in theatrical films, TV shows and videogames, including "Toy Story," "Dead Man Walking," "Seven," "SpongeBob SquarePants," "Family Guy," "Se7en" and "The Boys in Company C."
