To celebrate the improv-observational comedy of Darren Carter, playing Side Splitters Aug. 2-4, the club is offering a Snoop-tacular promotion: Patrons who give their best Snoop Dogg (or has he already changed those business cards to Snoop Lion?) will receive free admission to Carter's show.
According to Side Splitters' press release, Carter's "unique blend of comedy, sketch, and impersonations have garnered industry attention in comedy, acting, and music. After being spotted by hip-hop superstar Snoop Dogg for his dead-on impersonations of the rapper, he has performed multiple times at Snoop's annual family reunion."
Carter has appeared in "Be Cool" with John Travolta as well as TV appearances including Comedy Central's "Premium Blend," BET's "Comic View," 'The Tonight Show' with Jay Leno, and a regular guest on "Comics Unleashed."
Showtimes are 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2; 7:45 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3; and 7:45 and 10:15 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4.
Regular seating prices are $6 for general admission, $8 for preferred seats online. Tickets purchased by phone or at the door are an additional $2 per ticket.
