Beardsley Community Farm will host a work day from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, June 16, and a chicken Q&A presented by Terry Disney, who will be on hand to answer question until 1:30 p.m. at 1719 Reynolds St. All ages are welcome to participate. Call 865-546-8446 for more information.
The Plaid Apron, 1210 Kenesaw Ave., is the location for CAC Beardsley Community Farm’s Solstice Supper to be held 6-9 p.m. Monday, June 25.
Drew McDonald, owner of The Plaid Apron, will provide the meal using locally sourced ingredients. Vegan options available with advance notice by emailing beardsleyfarm@gmail.com. A presentation about the farm and a meet and greet of farm volunteers will be held.
Tickets are $50 or $175 for a table of four. All proceeds benefit the farm. Tickets available at www.brownpapertickets.com.
