According to a report issued Friday afternoon from Kenny Chesney's publicist, the East Tennessee native is currently in rehearsals for his upcoming tour with Tim McGraw.
The two superstars had their first joint rehearsal Thursday.
The release quotes Chesney: “Yesterday’s rehearsal with Tim and I and our bands was as electric and exciting as we anticipated. ... It’s been a long time since we’ve played on stage together and the chemistry and excitement is just so natural. It’s going to be a dream come true to have our years of friendship come together on stage for what will be one unpredictable, loud, hell of a summer, and I can’t wait.”
The tour kicks off in Tampa on June 2 and will include stops in Atlanta and Nashville.
The press release also noted that this weekend Chesney and his band will put on their first public performance since the Academy of Country Music Awards. They will be participating in a charity event in New Orleans along with NFL quarterback Drew Brees and actor Matthew McConaughey.

Just hope they don't attempt to ride anymore police horses and end up in jail again. Maybe they should invite Cledus T. Judd to perform his parody of one of Kenny Chesney's songs, "My cell mate thinks i'm sexy."
