Dolly Parton is helping Emily Maynard on her quest for love this season on "The Bachelorette."
The singing legend from Sevier County provided exclusive access to her Dollywood theme park for the May 28, episode of ABC’s "The Bachelorette," when Maynard takes her suitors on one-on-one dates there.
“Being a part of 'The Bachelorette' at Dollywood and meeting Emily and her date was so fun,” Parton said. “I’m just a big old romantic anyway so we had the best time, and I can’t wait to see how our Dollywood episode turns out!”
Parton will offer words of encouragement to Maynard, a single mother from Morgantown, W. Va., native who now lives in Charlotte, N.C.
A longtime fan of Parton and Dollywood, Maynard chooses the Pigeon Forge theme park as the destination for a one-on-one date in the series’ third episode which was taped on March 22. A source says Parton opened the theme park to ABC cameras just for the taping.
The show features two performances by Parton, including "Forever to the Moon and Back" from the motion picture "Joyful Noise" in which Parton co-starred.
"The Bachelorette" can be seen at 8 p.m. Mondays on WATE, Channel 6.
