Films announced for Tennessee Theatre's 'Summer Movie Magic' series

Julie Christie and Omar Sharif star in Doctor Zhivago

The Tennessee Theatre has announced the lineup for its "Summer Movie Magic" series of films. The theater, located at 803 S. Gay St., show an eclectic array of classic films throughout the summer months.

The movies include:

"The Godfather," at 8 p.m. Friday, June 15 and 2 p.m. Sunday, June 17

Janet Leigh in 'Psycho.'

"Psycho," at 8 p.m. Friday, July 6 and 2 p.m. Sunday, July 8

"Doctor Zhivago," at 8 p.m. Friday, July 13 and 2 p.m. Sunday, July 15

"The Third Man," at 8 p.m. Friday, July 27 and 2 p.m. Sunday, July 29

"Casablanca," at 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3 and 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5

The 1954 production of "A Star is Born," at 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17 and 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19

Single ticket prices are $8 adult, $6 child/senior. Subscriptions for the series are available and are $40.50 adult and $30 child/senior. Service fees apply to phone and web orders.

They will use 35mm prints for all the movies.
