Terry Morrow: Farragut's Jake Thomas enlists in 'NCIS'

Jake Thomas of Farragut has a major role on the next 'NCIS,' airing Tuesday.

Jake Thomas of Farragut has a major role on the next "NCIS," airing Tuesday.

Farragut native Jake Thomas has a particularly dark role on this week's installment of "NCIS."

The episode (airing 8 p.m. Tuesday, WVLT, Channel 8) casts Thomas as Alec Dell, a troubled young man who may have information in the case of a petty officer being gunned down.

Also guest starring are Ralph Waite ("The Waltons") and Billy Dee Williams ("The Empire Strikes Back" and "Return of the Jedi"). Waite plays the grandfather of Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon); Williams will be seen as a World War II veteran after who Jethro was named.

Thomas, 22, is the son of WNOX radio personality Bob Thomas and former Knoxville television reporter Simms Thomas.

A former student at Farragut High School, Jake Thomas has been acting for most of his life and currently lives in Los Angeles.

Jake Thomas' extensive credits include several movie and TV roles. He was a series regular on the sitcom "Lizzie McGuire," which starred Hilary Duff, and "Cory in the House" with Kyle Massey.

His biggest critical acclaim is with the Steven Spielberg movie "A.I. Artificial Intelligence" in 2001.

Boo!

No one should be all that surprised that Dolly Parton is a fan of Halloween — especially the dressing up part.

Scandal website TMZ.com caught up with the Sevier County native recently in Los Angeles and asked her what she would be wearing for Halloween this year.

She told them hastily it would be "fun" and "trashy" but gave no other details.

Parton did tell TMZ she has been shopping at Trashy Lingerie earlier in the week.

"We have fun at Halloween," Parton said before grabbing her breasts. "I have two pumpkins. That's all I care about."
