There’s no way to make an interesting poll about UT’s upcoming game with Troy.
Players and fans alike are suffering from battle fatigue as the Vols have lost every opportunity to beat a ranked team during the regular season this year. And after getting themselves worked up for games against Florida, Georgia, Mississippi State, Alabama and South Carolina, is there anything left for Troy — one of those schools you might not even think about if they weren’t on UT’s schedule?
The Vols are 0-5 in the SEC for the third year in a row, a harsh reality for sure, but are times really that bleak in Big Orange Country?
Isn't there evidence the Vols have been improving? Aren’t fans heartened by the fight UT showed in those losses — especially against Georgia and South Carolina? Does it matter that the five defeats have come at the hands of teams ranked No. 1, 6, 8, 11 and 18? Teams that would all be undefeated apart from the games they have played against each other?
So how bad is it, really? Tell us the one word that best defines how you feel about the current state of UT football. Pick one of these or post your own (but please keep it clean).
