Ashley Judd stars in ABC's "Missing."
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Ashley Judd came to politics naturally, and there’s never any question about which side of the aisle she stands on.
“I’ve been a Democrat for a very long time,” Judd said. “Family lore says that my beloved great-aunt, Pauline, who lived on a farm in Lawrence County in Eastern Kentucky, named all her dogs after Democrats.”
This week Judd, a famous actress, activist and Williamson County resident, is taking her partisanship to a new level as a delegate to the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, N.C. She’s an at-large member of the Tennessee delegation and a campaign surrogate for President Barack Obama, speaking to supporters on his behalf.

Hmm. Naming your dogs after Democrats seems rather insulting - to the poor dogs! LOL!
trollhair writes:
Slow news day? Who cares what her politics are. She is an actress. She doesn't affect how we live our lives, how we base our beliefs.
Watchinu writes:
To quote a popular SME. "shut up and sing". That's what we want from you. Keep your sanctimonious political views oiutta it. Can you say the Dixie Chicks???

Just like 90% of the democrats I know.
Me: "Why are you a democrat?"
Them: "Because my daddy was a democrat, and his daddy was a democrat, and his daddy was a democrat."
Me: "So you can't think for yourself huh? You'll make a great democrat!"

I wonder if Wynonna and Naomi share her views? Anyway, it is ironic that the DNC is having their convention in a state that that recently passed a law that defined marriage as between a man and a woman.

It always kind of irrates me that celebrities think they know more than the average joe.

Wow, what a bunch of nasty posters, yet you drool over Ted Nugent, Clint Eastwood, Arnold Swarzenegger, Ronald Reagan, etc.
Way to go Ashley, you're by far my favorite Judd lady. You've got it all - smarts, talent and beauty!

Who can forget Ashley Judd and her extreme and shrill activism -- screaming "MR. BUSH, KEEP YOUR HANDS OFF OUR BODIES." The number one issue for Ms. Judd -- not a mother herself -- is abortion.
DakotaCat writes:
Ashley Judd is just another unthinking Obamabot. She's doesn't care about anything beyond her hooha and getting the American tax payer to subsidize its activities.

Just like religion, "because that's how I was raised." No mind of their own, either.

Given the comments from whizkidtn, trollhair, Watchinu, et al, aimed at a person who has certainly done them no harm, it becomes easy to prove just how bitter, vitriolic, and mean-spirited Republicans are as a group.
4N6 writes:
Same with Repubs. They used to care about human beings, not just $$.
DakotaCat writes:
Yes, they care about $$$. Yours, mine and theirs. They understand that leaving mine in my pocket, and yours in your pocket means they get to keep what is in their pocket and we ALL have the unfettered opportunity to increase that amount. This is quite unlike the agenda of the Democrats, in which they want to take what is in all yours and my pockets (but NOT theirs!) and redistribute it as they see fit ... to their corporate cronies, and their voting base - the poor.

"They understand that leaving mine in my pocket, and yours in your pocket means they get to keep what is in their pocket and we ALL have the unfettered opportunity to increase that amount". I will have to respectfully agree to disagree about that point.

These women calling abortion a right are doing the same thing that murderers do, kill. Yet they support protecting animal life over human life. Priorities are mixed up. Btw, I still wonder what Wynonna and Naomi have to say to this?
ArtSeen writes:
Perhaps you should rethink your position and quit being a freeloader riding on the backs of the working middle class for your highways, clean food, utilities, police protection, and safety. Pay your way in America or leave.
SevierResident writes:
Oh that is ironic. Pay your way in America or leave? Don't you mean work hard so you can pay for all the people who are enjoying all the social programs?
SevierResident writes:
Your favorite Judd? Name the last movie she was in. Name the last thing she did. I would ask you to name the last good thing she did but that IS mean.
LouisVol writes:
Sorta what I think when I see Clint Eastwood trotted out on stage at the RNC...
I hope you'll also encourage Ted Nugent to keep his sanctimonious political views out of it. But you can let Craig T. Nelson spout all he wants since he doesn't realize that "making it on his own" and "having to go on food stamps" are mutually exclusive positions.

I have been waiting for a reason to support someone in the Presidential election.
Knowing who Ashley Judd is supporting helps, but I sure wish I knew who Jeremiah Wright and Michael Moore were voting for before I make the final decision.

Last movie: Tooth Fairy - 2010
Last/current TV show: Missing - 2012
She's had the lead role in 6 of her 23 movies; Double Jeopardy was probably my favorite.
You sound rather clueless.

She is irrelevant.

I wish that democrats would start thinking a little about where money comes from.
This president certainly doesn't think about how much tax payer money he wastes.
myopiniontoday writes:
Democrat or Republican, they're both "all about the money". Skimmer or hoarder, take your pick. Either way, our country really needs change (not the change in the pockets Americans NOW have). The only choice we have is the lesser of two evils.
myopiniontoday writes:
By the way, "Repeal NAFTA"!

As I see it, the Republicans want the best America has to offer, but want someone else to pay for it.
