Indie folk-rock singer-songwriter Andrew Bird is performing at the Tennessee Theatre Thursday, Oct. 4, and we’re giving away tickets!

The eclectic multi-instrumentalist — and expert whistler — is touring to promote his latest album, “Break It Yourself,” though fans can expect to see him also perform older material, possibly including such songs as “Fake Palindromes” and “Plasticities.”

The Knoxville show is scheduled to open with the band Here We Go Magic at 8 p.m.

Our contest will award four tickets to one winner. No purchase is necessary to enter the giveaway. Simply go to the Knoxville.com page on Facebook, “like” Knoxville.com and fill in the required information. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older and a legal resident of one of the following Tennessee counties: Anderson, Blount, Campbell, Claiborne, Grainger, Hamblen, Hancock, Jefferson, Knox, Loudon, Monroe, Morgan, Roane, Sevier or Union.

The contest continues until 11:59 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30. The winner will be selected by random drawing on or about Oct. 1.
