Dierks Bentley caused a stir among fans a few years ago when he cut his curls.

Country star Dierks Bentley will perform a free concert as part of the Lowe's Tailgate pep rally. The event will take place from 5:30 to 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19 on the World's Fair Park lawn. The event will be free, but only 12,000 people will be admitted.

The pep rally will include the Pride of the Southland Pep Band, the University of Tennessee Cheer and Dance Teams, Smokey and "Voice of the Vols" Bob Kesling. Country musician Matt Stillwell will also perform.
