Culinary classes to be presented at Avanti Savoia, 7610 Maynardville Pike, include “Pizza Pizzazz,” (Jan. 22, $50) where guests will learn to thrown crust and prepare sauces; “La Technique: The French pastry Class,” (Jan. 29, $60) featuring recipes for puff pastry, basic pastry dough and cream puff batter; “Sushi 101,” (Feb. 5, $60), a hands-on class where students will make spicy tuna roll, California roll, and more; “Laissez Le Bon Temps Rouler,” (Feb. 12, $50), with a menu of stove top barbecue shrimp, pecan rice, chicken and sausage Creole; and “Salt(s) of the Earth and Sea,” (Feb. 26, $50), offering insight on health issues as well as a presentation of cooking on Himalayan salt blocks.
All classes are held 6:30-8:30 p.m.
