Where would you send Zac Brown for dinner in K-town?

It's common knowledge that Zac Brown loves Southern food. Not only is he known for hosting "Eat and Greet" events, serving meals to friends and fans through his mobile kitchen named "Cookie," but he's also the author of the "Southern Ground" cookbook.

In November it was reported that Brown had dropped a few pounds after adopting a raw diet. By now he's surely indulging in a few Southern staples, like fried chicken, mac and cheese and apple cobbler.

The Zac Brown Band will perform at Thompson-Boling Arena at 7 p.m. Sunday. While in town, what restaurant would you recommend he try? Would you send him to Knox Mason, the new upscale Southern eatery on Gay Street, or tell him to try some "bone-sucking" barbecue at Chandler's Deli?

Share your thoughts in the comments section below, and tell us your favorite dish from the establishment.

Humphammer's Market and Deli in beautiful downtown Powell. Big Mic's (Hump's sister) meatloaf special on Wednesday is a must have.

You must be from Halls. Halls has it, you know, and a double dose of penicillin will cure it.

Maybe a little jealous are you? Zac may make more in one night than you make in your lifetime ... and look good doing it.

Guess knoxtaxpayer1 doesn't like his chicken fried, or cold beer on a Friday night. Probably doesn't like a pair of jeans that fit just right, or the radio ooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnn!

Second Puleo's! Chandlers & Big Fattys are fine if you want something on the heavier side. Puleo's has just those extra special touches.

Great suggestions. I would add Louis' Italian Restaurant on Old Broadway & the Shrimp Dock for one of the finest shrimp po boys in town. Oh, and if you've never dined at Big Fatt'y's or Humphammer's, ya need to give 'em a try.

it's icy and he's playing downtown! keep it close and have him go to Knox Mason. decadent southern food but smaller portions - a perfect little indulgence for the health-conscious! and they open at 4pm. plenty of time to get back to the venue. :)

Definitely not from Halls or anywhere near north Knox County. It's a scary place up there.
