Johnny Knoxville was born P.J. Clapp in 1971 in South Knoxville. After graduating from high school, he attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasadena, California and started to write articles for Big Brother magazine, among others. In 2000, Knoxville's "Jackass" series debuted on MTV and quickly became one of the cable network's highest-rated shows.
