  • The Cumberland Trail's northern terminus is located at the Tri-State Peak near Cumberland Gap, Tenn. After reaching the Tri-State Peak, hikers will follow the Cumberland Trail as it follows the ridge line of Cumberland Mountain into Tennessee.
  • The town of Cumberland Gap, Tenn., can be seen from the Cumberland Trail near the Tri-State Peak mark. Hikers will experience periodic views of Cumberland Gap and Tiprell, Tenn., as they follow the ridge line Cumberland Mountain into Tennessee.
  • The portion of the Cumberland Trail near Cumberland Gap, Tenn., that follows the ridge line of Cumberland Mountain can be rocky and moderate to difficult as it continues south into Tennessee. The trail is marked with white blazes for those not familiar with the area.

November's hike of the month follows a portion of the Cumberland Trail starting at its northern terminus located at Tri-State Peak near Cumberland Gap, Tenn.
