Abuelo's offers plenty of menu choices, and yes, one can order various incarnations of tacos, burritos, enchiladas, fajitas, etc.

In fact, I did things old-school by ordering the Monterrey platter, featuring four different enchiladas (sour cream chicken, avocado, spinach and chicken ranchera), a cheese chile relleno, a chicken taco, and sides of refried beans and papas con chile (Mexican-style mashed potatoes).

Skimming through the house specialties was a true delight. Choices include bacon-wrapped tenderloin medallions, sauteed tilapia and the pechuga con calabaza - sauteed chicken breast with sliced zucchini, roasted red peppers and corn in a spicy cream sauce.
