Knoxville Catholic High School is a co-educational secondary school located in West Knoxville in the Cedar Bluff area. It is operated under the supervision of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Knoxville.



Knoxville Catholic first opened in 1932 in East Knoxville on East Magnolia. It was first attended by 98 students and led by a faculty of six. In 2000 the high school relocated to its current 25-acre location at 9245 Fox Lonas Road. It is in close proximity of Interstate 40, Pellissippi Parkway and Middlebrook Pike.



Knoxville Catholic’s All Sports Complex was completed in 2001. A new performing arts center followed in 2005. January of 2008 likewise saw the opening of Schaad Hall, a 19,000 square-foot addition that features two science labs, a computer lab, seven classrooms and a guidance suite. Athletic facilities at the school include a gymnasium with locker rooms, baseball field, softball field, a football field surrounded by an eight-lane track and a weight training room.

The grade 9-12 school has an enrollment of approximately 650 students. It has a student/teacher radio of 14:1. Students from four Catholic elementary schools — Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. John Neumann, St. Joseph and St. Mary’s of Oak Ridge — feed into Knoxville Catholic. The school is a member of the National Catholic Education Association and is accredited by the Tennessee Department of Education, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, and the Roman Catholic Diocese of Knoxville.
