Tyson Park is near downtown Knoxville and the University of Tennessee campus. The park provides a connection from the Third Creek Greenway to the Neyland and Bearden Greenways. The park boasts a variety of activities, including one of Knoxville's largest accessible playgrounds, softball fields, 14 tennis courts, several large and small shelters, a paved walking/running trail, and Knoxville's public skatepark.

The skatepark is open 8 a.m.-11 p.m. daily. Bikes and skaters are allowed, though helmets are mandatory.
