Park yourself at parks for free movie series
The News Sentinel is bringing back its free "Movies in the Park" on five Fridays and one Saturday.
The second annual movie series will be June 1, 15 and 29; July 27; and Aug. 3 at the Cove at Concord Park, 11808 Northshore Drive. Those are all Fridays.
On Saturday, July 28, "Movies in the Park" moves to Blount County's Greenbelt Park in Maryville.
Each movie will begin at dusk.
The names of the films are still a secret, but the target audience will be ages 18-30. Moviegoers are invited to bring lawn chairs, blankets and picnics. Dogs are welcome but must be leashed. And bug spray is never a bad idea for an East Tennessee evening.
A $5 parking fee will be charged at the cove for moviegoers; proceeds from that fee will go to help fund a skate park that will be built at Tyson Park in Knoxville.
