Are they going to be hiring more people or using the same overworked, underpaid people?
I appreciate the good cause Johnny Knoxville has done here. But frankly, I'm tired of seeing all the Johnny Knoxville stories in this section. It looks like Mr. Morrow has a man-crush on him with the constant stories on him.
I wonder how long it will take before WATE puts a dent into WBIR's stronghold at 6:00? I have watched WBIR's news since the days of Bill Williams, Margie, and Bob Kesling in the early 80's. Their news always seemed to be the best. But in recent years, their newscasts are often filled with technical errors, shoddy reporting, and plain lazy work ethic by some of the on-camera people. You have to wonder if people like what they see at 11:00 will they make the change at 6:00?!?
Like most people, I still watch them out of habit. But everyday I keep asking myself why I continue to watch. I guess if WVLT had a better picture and WATE had reporters that don't come across as being overdramatic, it would be easy to make a switch.
Esquire has been running this for 2 or 3 weeks now. This isn't really a new story for those that follow Vol football and the people that used to be part of the program.
I am surprised that many people find this woman to be funny and interesting. I do not. I think she is not funny at all. I wouldn't go to her show if they paid me $49 to go see it. To each his own I suppose.
WBIR's news is becoming unwatchable. Between all the goof ups and not telling the complete story, gone are the days of great and informative newscasts from this station. The problem is WATE isn't much better and WVLT's set and production looks cheap. All the 5:00 news shows are a waste of time and the old Live at Five should be changed to the Bore at Four - boring!
