Written on Willie Nelson charged with pot possession in Texas :

The cops found pot around Willie Nelson? That's like shooting fish in a barrel. LOL!

I can’t get Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “That Smell” out of my head.

Written on Michael Jackson's death brings cheering at Sundown:

in response to AnnieLouWho:

Let me elaborate a bit...I know I'm not wrong about the accusations of child molestation since you can clearly find through Google that both of those accusations proved to be false in a court of law.

The charities were found through Google too, though I didn't listen the humanitarian awards he has won. I don't know what years he endowed these charities, but his debts were not as great during the start of his career.

And you can find his illnesses listed on the web as well. So, please, share with us the "55%" I'm wrong about? Or is it just that you're upset that you were made to look like an uneducated bumpkin by claiming he was a child molester when those claims were never substantiated? Also - if they did find "car loads" of child porn at his ranch, I assure you I would be able to find that online. If you're referring to the two books he was legally allowed to own that were not child pornography that came out during his second trial...well, I guess it takes a bit of comprehension to understand that two books do not equal "car loads" of child porn, especially when they weren't child porn at all.

First off, I'm disgusted by the cheering. Show some respect, people. The man is dead.

Secondly, AnnieLouWho, he settled a case for millions of dollars prior to the most recent child molestation case. It's not new news. It's been all over the internet today.

The racist just show their ignorance. I am not african american but I have always loved the Jackson Five. Now I admit Elvis was my man too. But both were legends. I wish people would stop seeing people from the outside and start looking at the inside first The world would be a better place..... RIP Micheal

"I wish people would stop seeing people from the outside and start looking at the inside first. . ."

WHAT????? Do you have some kind of secret wand that allows you to understand the inner workings of other people's minds?

Talk about freaks!

in response to AmpTrap:

I never understood the fascination with "celebrities". I mean there are people I like to watch on movies and listen to their music but I never screamed, fainted, stood in line to meet them or anything like that. I am saying that people don't know these celebrities as persons. They do a lot of bad things and people don't seem to care as long as they can act and sing. Elvis was a drug addict, Jackson was a child molester, Joplin and Hendrix OD'ed on drugs. Let them come do my job for a day and see how long they would have lasted.

When people worship Elvis, they don't worship the fat/drugged-out Elvis, they worship the young version of Elvis. It will be the same with Michael Jackson. They will worship the young Michael, not the freakish thing he became.

I don't understand the insane celebrity worship thing either, but, again, I'll be willing to bet it will happen.

I was much more sad to hear of the passing of Farrah Fawsett. Jackson was a strange, unusual creature who seemed to have a desire for young kids.

I agree, Amp, but I'm willing to bet people will react about his death the same way others did when Elvis died.

Written on Indie film 'That Evening Sun' rises at Knoxville screening for VIPs :

Well, isn't it a shame that the rest of us couldn't see the movie due to the fact that we aren't considered to be among the "in" crowd.

Largemouth? Oh, hon, please. Where on earth are you fishing? That's a channel cat if I've ever seen one.;)

Seriously though, I happen to like him very much. I'm very sad to see "The Heartland Series" come to an end.

I'm sorry, hon, but I'm not a member of facebook and I don't want to be. Maybe you could post a site on this blog as well.

Written on WBIR stops production of 'The Heartland Series':

This really saddens me. GrandmotherNature moved away several years ago and I send her the DVDs of the series so she can reconnect when she gets homesick. I, too, am a huge fan and watch it every chance I get. One of my favorites is the story of Dr. McCown catching gar with his dog, Bruce.

I've had no reason to go to Ober Gatlinburg for many, many years (recently due to a knee replacement). I am so excited about this new addition. I will definitely try it out!

TammyM, your post hasn't been lost on me. I think, however, that the safety equipment has changed since your incident. I will keep your experience in mind and check the safety conditions before I even attempt to make the first run.
