Eastwood opposed the bailouts and doesn't care for Obama, so there's no question that he had no political motive in doing the commercial. However, the commercial itself was produced by an ad agency that has done free work for the Obama campaign in the past. So, it was an Obama campaign ad in which Eastwood was unwittingly complicit.
Raising the drinking age to 21 years ago pretty much killed the strip. Before that, it was a much more interesting place. Ironically, raising the drinking age made campus dorms and frat houses the only places where the majority of college age kids could drink.
Great! Heaven knows we haven't been getting enough of this guy everywhere we turn. What's a celebrity politician without an HBO documentary? Luckily, I don't subscribe to HBO, so I won't have to bother turning the channel.
Every time I think this administration can't top its last stupid move, it proves me wrong. One thing it has managed to do is to show that when you take Chicago politics nationwide, it becomes less "breaking kneecaps" and more "Keystone Kops".
You left out the film version of Vonnegut's "Slaughterhouse-Five", where Billy Pilgrim becomes "unstuck in time" and eventually gets mated to Montana Wildhack (with the help of some aliens from Tralfamadore).
