Dolly has nothing to apologize for. Her original statement was a gracious compliment to Whitney Houston from a songwriter to a performer. Her follow-up statement is all the more gracious.

As far as I know, the Spock/Uhuru romance is something they have introduced for this re-launch of the Star Trek story. Or, they really kept it on the down-low back in the day.

Written on Poll: Where should Anthony Bourdain dine while he's in the Knoxville area?:

I think the Mariachi Taco Truck usually sets up shop along Sutherland Avenue. Check for it in the parking lot of the Bread Box convenience store on Sutherland between Hollywood Road and Forest Park Blvd.

Written on Poll: Where should Anthony Bourdain dine while he's in the Knoxville area?:

Just to answer the above question, it is my understanding that the Tomato Head also bakes its own bread, desserts and makes its own dressings. Also, I'm not 100% sure about it, but I've always gotten the impression that most everything at Frussie's Deli is made in-house.

Clive Owen is simply a great action-movie guy.

Written on Big Ears a big hit :

The Neil Hamburger tour was hilarious. The Philip Glass & Wendy Sutter performance was sublime.

I saw this one on Christmas Day and actually thought it was a nice suspenseful kind of Hollywood flick. For just a minute I even thought they might pull it off (the characters that is). Then I remembered history.
