Written on TMZ: Kim Kardashian files for divorce after 72-day marriage:

I had to chime in...folks, get a life. Who cares? These folks are living off your curiosity about them. Challenge yourself to a different level. This woman is a prostitute, as she got famous and stays that way from sex! Anyone can screw...

Written on Natalie Portman's ORNL ties:

Well, I can see why she changed her name to Portman! All she won was best actress in a group of pathetic, mostly US made movies that were not the price of admission.

Written on Glass Bazaar hosts February classes:

Mmmmm...mmmmm I'll be there!

Written on UT grad to represent Puerto Rico in Miss America Pageant:

in response to Digger:

Hmmm... If she wins, she'd be the first Miss America that doesn't even live in America. LOL

PR is a US territory, my friend. As such, it is part of the US. Did you skip geography or social studies classes?

Written on Terry Morrow: TLC to spin-off obese couple from Morristown:

Pitiful. Simply pitiful...this is entertainment for morons only.

Written on 'Diff'rent Strokes' star Gary Coleman dies :

I enjoyed the show, but like so many "child actor stars", his was not a life of happiness. In the final analysis, most people cannot gracefully handle prosperity. Rest in peace

Written on Knoxville’s Ashley Johnston finishes second on ‘The Biggest Loser’:

in response to jmr68ut:

Good point but she still did herself proud. I wonder if she'll keep it off?

I have $100 that says she will not.

Written on Knoxville’s Ashley Johnston finishes second on ‘The Biggest Loser’:

in response to 40cap:

wow! very passionate about other peoples' entertainment choices. Here's a suggestion, if it's such garbage, don't watch it. Better yet, don't read articles about it, and don't take the time to post a comment about it.

LOL...who licked the red off your candy? I do/did not watch it. I do not, however, keep my head in the sand. It'll rot the ol' brain.

Written on Knoxville’s Ashley Johnston finishes second on ‘The Biggest Loser’:

Sad day in America when this becomes "entertainment". Turn the garbage TV off and go outside to do something, anything.

Written on 'Heartland Series' returns in new format:

They need to come revisit White Pine's rabbit hunters. Can't wait to watch the new series.

Written on Knoxville's Ashley Johnston helps her 'Biggest Loser' team snag a victory:

in response to RandallBrown:

We are honored to have Billie's commentary.

I'd also like some of whatever she is smoking!
Like most things in life, if you want something bad enough or hard enough, you go get it. So it is with losing weight. Good luck to whoever tries and gets it done.

Written on LaFollette native Ella Nolan eliminated from 'The Bachelor':

This is earth shattering stuff

Written on Cooking classes begin Jan. 21 at Glass Bazaar:

Cooking classes at the GB are really cool. I would go to every one if I only could...Knoxville is lucky to have this little store on Bearden Hill

Written on Morrow: Visiting MTV star Nick Lachey says he backs Kiffin:

Maybe he'll help win the game...is he gonna suit up?

Written on Film shot in, around Knox to hit theaters :

There are many areas in the state that should make TN a strong competitor when it comes to vying for film industry business. I can't wait to see this film

Written on Abdul's 'Idol' exit shakes up TV's top-rated show:

Who cares? American Idol is just another example of how the networks are rotting the brains of those who watch the show. The country would benefit and lose weight if the show went off the air and the former TV audience takes a walk around the block.

Written on East Tennesseans pay tribute to Jackson:

MJ was a whack job, drug addicted pedophile. His family shows real class in charging for his memorial service (sarcasm) I feel for this country, as we are in bad enough shape financially and this media coverage shows the very degraded value system in this country. As for LA, they now expect the family to pay for the services provided at the service. The city should have told them to pound sand to begin with, but that town is run by liberal kooks anyway. I hope California does go bankrupt and slide into the ocean! Good riddance.

Written on L.A. braces for horde of Michael Jackson mourners:

Here we go again. MJ was a pedophile, drug addict, and CNN's latest poll shows that less than half the people polled are not/were not even MJ fans. The media needs to give it a rest and report on things that we want to see online and in print. Lets see you guys cover patriotic stories over this great weekend.

Written on Michael Jackson's death brings cheering at Sundown:

AnnieLouWho is obviously a smitten fan whose facts are made up. How could anyone die owing the millions he owed and was to have endowed all these things? I'm doing the research and so far she is 55% wrong. Wanna know what else is wrong? This guy died and all of a sudden, a colonel with a hitch in WWII and Korea (Ed MacMahon) and a real lady who help enact legislation against domestic violence (Farah Fawcett) drop out of the news...what does that tell us about our sick society?

Written on Michael Jackson's death brings cheering at Sundown:

in response to AnnieLouWho:

This is definitely the most ignorant post I've seen all day. Jackson had LUPUS and vitiligo. He was not "choosing to become white." And I hope you never get accused of a crime. Apparently being accused - even when you're proven innocent in court - is the same as committing a crime. Grow up!

Lupus? Vitiligo? What are you on?

Written on Michael Jackson's death brings cheering at Sundown:

I guess if you cannot stand the heat, get out of the kitchen and don't read the posts on these sites! This is precisely why they are here. I didn't trash MJ's life...he did. Also, in my first post, I indicated that the cheering was "in bad taste" which it was. But I cannot police the actions, good or bad, of others, nor do I want to. We really need to quit quibbling so others can chime in...it's been real!

Written on Michael Jackson's death brings cheering at Sundown:

in response to JaniaJ:

You are right it is a free country and I am glad you can find humor in your thoughts. That is something you have to deal with and and answer to God about. I will pass on sending money! I generally don't give to the causes of such nature. I am sure you are a nice person but think about what you have said?????

I'll square up with God just as easily as you will...thanks anyway. I was being fecicious about the money, BTW. I just do not put people like MJ up on a pedestal, and I think our society/media is pathetic for "idolizing" a man of his background. You wait...there will be a sad drug story come out of this, if the family doesn't pony up money to squelch it. In fact, we may never know.
You must be a Christian. It has been said that you cannot be one with being compassionate for someone's plight in life. What was MJ's compassion, do you think, besides making money to pay off his debts? Like I said earlier, most cannot handle prosperity, and he is/was the poster child for that.
Have a good weekend.

You put this on the front page of the Knox News that people cheered because an icon died. How IGNORANT! Although Knoxville is my hometown and I only come to this site to keep informed and I keep being reminded why I left. How simply IGNORANT of the people who would cheer, how IGNORANT of the people who make horrilbe judgments about people that don't know and how VERY DISAPPOINTING of KNS to print such a thing! White Pine I pray for you!!

PS I'm really sure that you woke up one day and said, "this place has too many hick, redneck, short sided people...I am leaving". Also, were you up close and personal with MJ? Would you let your child go to his "day care center"?

LOL...I'll take all the prayers I can get! I also can speak my mind, and I thought I did so in a relatively civil manner. Anyway...that's what makes this country great. Thanks again for the prayers...if you like, I can offer a PO Box where you can also send money

Written on Michael Jackson's death brings cheering at Sundown:

Michael Jackson was a whack job that, like most people, couldn't handle prosperity. In my opinion, his heyday was as a member of the Jackson 5, and should have done something else when he went through puberty other than becoming a kiddy diddler and go way overboard trying to become a white guy. That is as repulsive as the young white kids I see today trying to be "gangstas". That being said, cheering his death was in bad taste, but most people regard him as a child molester, and otherwise unstable as opposed to a great talent. One lady compared him to Elvis, which is waaay off base.

Written on 'King of Pop' soared, fell in remarkable life :

To say that MJ was the "biggest star in the world" just shows how this society becomes enamoured with people that are totally ridiculous. On top of that, we put these types on a pedestal and then we wonder where we went wrong with our own kids? Please...I hope this coverage ends tomorrow and we can move on. I hate to see anyone die, but in life, there are 2 things that are for certain, and Ben Franklin said it a couple hundred years ago.
Condolences to his family.

Written on Michael Jackson dead at 50:

in response to pms151:

I see the racist ignorant rednecks are alive and well in ET today. This person died and was loved by millions. Go iron your sheets.

You are right...thank you. Many years ago, someone asked me if I was going to his concert. I replied, "No, it's a little late to start liking him now". Besides, he should have quit when he got through puberty and taken up gardening or something. No way was he even in the same class as Elvis!

Written on Michael Jackson dead at 50:

This is news because? You hate to hear about anyone dying, but 2 things are certain...death and taxes.

Written on Grudge Match: Angelina Jolie vs. Megan Fox:

Here is my chance to ask, "who cares"? This is precisely one of the huge reasons that people in the US are fat, stupid, and basically unaware of what is happening in the real world. But, we have the first amendment, so this type of garbage cannot be stopped...trash does sell!

Written on Grub Scout: Like burgers? Wing it to the new Red Robin in Turkey Creek:

We have them here in central Ohio, and I have been twice. My first and last. There's better grub elsewhere

Written on Miss Calif. says she rejected call to apologize to gays :

What kind of commentary is it on our country when we let the media and minority groups cram this down our throats? Not a good one, and this should have been back page, section 4 news instead of front page stuff. There are groups with real problems in this country...the homosexuals must go to the bottom of the list and do like the rest of us...live and let live. I am glad that others feel the way I do.

Written on Miss Calif. says she rejected call to apologize to gays :

Good for this woman. I believe the gays, and Hilton in particular, are grandstanding, plain and simple. You should be able to speak your mind, if asked. None of the contestants were asked their views on abortion, the wars in Iraq/Afganistan, how they feel about polio, stem cell research, etc.

Written on Hilton, Miss California take sides:

Perez Hilton is a flaming gay that is just grandstanding for the gay community. This is not news worthy for anyone with more than 2 brain cells, so I guess he must only have one brain cell, and it appears that one cell is a foreign body...move on.

Written on WBIR stops production of 'The Heartland Series':

Can't please everybody, but Capt. Winters, you are in the minority. I, on the other hand, rank the series up there with Antiques Rd Show, South Park, and TN football games as being about the only things wothwhile on TV today! Sad...ain't it.
