Written on Hank Williams Jr. to market Popcorn Sutton's legal moonshine:

the stuff they will be peddling is not moonshine. It will be legally distilled whisky.

And nothing like advocating a felon, nice.

I dunno, I was at Walker Springs Walmart yesterday and there were hippy wannabes all over stocking up. Now I don't mind that or anything. I wish I was young and could be out there with them having fun.

But I do draw the line at the one hippy girl I saw. I swear it looked like she had a sweater on her legs. I could not help but look closer and it was hair. I don't mind declaring that it was over the top disgusting looking.

tennvol, I would have gone if it was just Joe Walsh doing the show. Saw him and Frey years ago down in Florida together and it was one of the best shows I have ever seen.

Walsh saved the band back in the 70's when he joined up.
The guy is a legend of rock.

While there was no Rocky Mtn Way I was very pleased when they busted out the arrangement of Funk 49. Best song of the night aside from Take It Easy.

The only downside I saw with the show last night was how it came to a complete stop between songs. They should have played some out in a row. The way they did it the concert kind of lost momentum. But then like me they are a few years older and no doubt needed to take the moment between songs to get their breath.

I am real happy I had the chance to go.

This was the fifth time I have seen the Eagles. First was back in 76 and the last had been at the United Center in Chicago back in the early 90's for the Hell Freezes Over Tour. Tickets for that show were 125 bucks each. Cost me a weeks take home for me and the wife to go.

Joe Walsh stole the show IMHO everytime I have seen him with the band (four times). The guy is a great entertainer. Last night was no exception.

Last night was really good. Aside from the new songs it was a trip down memory lane. But where was Rocky Mountain Way? Walsh has four signature songs I think. They played three of them.

I tell you though, it made me feel old.

Great Concert!
