Written on Taylor Swift's talent, not fireworks, made her concert sparkle:

in response to ech225:

We can only hope, flashbone, we can only hope. Personally I believe she is living proof that a recording studio can make anyone sound good because on the radio she's not really bad. but everytime I've seen her perform live on TV, she is so off key that it makes a cat getting hit by a garbage truck sound like music.

She sounded great last night, and was a tireless performer despite the fact that she obviously was not feeling well. I think only time will tell, but I'll be surprised if she doesn't survive for many many years in the industry. She is a talented kid and, unlike her peers, she has not made a fool of herself. Oh, and a television performance isn't the same a in person.

Written on Grub Scout: Lescotti's serves Italian faves in Farragut:

I recently ate at Lescotti's and wanted to comment on this article. The food was excellent, and the service was beyond exceptional. We could not have asked for more attention. And did I mention the food was great? We will definitely eat there again!

Written on Morrow: Miley Cyrus to flip her 'Hannah Montana' wig:

After seeing a clip of the "Can't Be Tamed" video, my 9 yr old daughter said "Miley Cyrus.....the next Lindsay Lohan." I guess she's too young to remember Britney Spears as anything other than a train wreck. I wish Miley the best, but I'm not so sure she's getting the guidance she needs.

Written on WATE to bridge news gap:

UUUUUGGGGGHHHH. Just what we need-- more of the same old stories told and retold to death. I think local news from 5-6:30 is simply ridiculous. I watch the 5 o'clock news now on WATE,not because they are better, but because there is nothing else on worth watching. Now that they have jumped on the bandwagon, I won't be watching.
