Written on Rezoning for Extreme Makeover moved quickly and quietly ahead of family's selection :

This is great that the city was able to do this, even in the wide open!

However, the amount of "I forget"'s makes it seem like council isn't paying attention to zoning decisions unless they're controversial.

Written on Taylor Swift coming to Knoxville:

Where is Kenny at? Taylor is from PA and comes to Knoxville, Keith Urban is from Australia and comes to Knoxville. Kenny is from Knoxville and DOESN'T come to Knoxville.

Written on Kenny Chesney to give away 10K DVDs to football coaches:

I can't figure out why KC is still embraced by East Tennesseans.

Even major country starts like Brad Paisley and Alan Jackson play their hometowns once a year.

Unless you're Kenny. Then you just mention Knoxville or East Tennessee in every song but never come home. It's been since 2003, right, since he played at Neyland? I'm off the KC bandwagon.

Written on Charge dropped against man accused of causing bear’s death:

Public Outrage did not follow, because the admins of the Laural Legacy facebook site insisted on controlling our thoughts, and thinking that they could talk their way to sanity. The people were outraged, but the admins tried to think that 8000 joined their group with hearts and rainbows on their mind. Their message has fallen by the wayside because they are not vocal.

Written on This year's best of East Tennessee:

I can't imagine how anything from Calhoun's ever wins. Calhoun's has the worst ribs in America and Chesapeak's is an extremely inflated Red Lobster.

The abundance of chain restaurants shows Knoxville is becoming a cookie-cutter city.

Written on Brad Paisley’s concert at Thompson-Boling Arena:

Miranda Lambert squealed like a pig. Her voice was terrible, but I think it was more on the fault of the PA system CRUSHING the highs while neglecting the lows. Brad did great, and Justin Moore looks like he will have a good future in country music.
